This sample layout shows the general arrangement of rooms in a FeelGood home.
Sthapatya Veda views the house as an extension of the body. The head is considered to be in the North, the feet are to the South, the front of the body represents the East and the back is the West.
Outline of human form, with body parts labelled according to directions, as in paragraph above..
According to Sthapatya Veda, the house and the body are so intimately connected that sunlight falling on the house affects the physiology of the occupants. The Sun, which dictates daily and seasonal rhythms for life in all its forms is the most powerful influence of Natural Law on Earth.
As the Sun moves across the sky, its energies vary.
You can experience this yourself with the simple observation described in Principle Two.
To gain maximum advantage of the Sun’s varying energies, FeelGood Homes have their rooms positioned according to their function.
For example, in the body, the liver, which is primarily involved with digestion is located approximately in the South-East position. Hence the most appropriate location of the kitchen and dining rooms are in the South-East areas of the house.

This diagram shows the approximate correlation between the arrangement of rooms in a FeelGood home and the human body.
There is an ideal place for the living room, the bedroom, the meditation room, the study, etc. in any home.
When this principle is properly applied then, for example, when we enter the study we will feel more alert; in the living room we will feel naturally convivial; and when we enter the meditation room our mind will naturally settle inward to enjoy the benefits of meditation.
FeelGood homes comply with all the principles of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda to ensure that the full value of Natural Law supports and nourishes everyone in the family, everywhere in the house.
